Deforestation
Deforestation is the removal of a large number of trees, turning the stretch of land into non-forest use such as agriculture or urbanization. Deforestation can have adverse impacts on the environment such as loss of habitats and loss of species. Christine Borg, Yanica Said and Yana Vella researched the reasons behind deforestation and the consequences of excessive deforestation. Their work can be found in the following presentation.
